I. Information on the collection of personal data

Please find below information about how we collect your personal data when you use our website. Personal data is all data that can be related to you personally, e.g. name, address, e-mail addresses, user behaviour.

When you contact us by e-mail or via a contact form, the data you provide us (your e-mail address, and where appropriate, your name and telephone number) will be stored by us in order to respond to your queries. We will delete the data arising in this context after it is no longer required to be stored, or otherwise restrict its further processing if there are statutory retention obligations. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 (b) GDPR.

If we wish to employ contracted service providers for individual functions of our service or use your data for advertising purposes, we will inform you below in detail about the respective transactions. We will also specify the storage period criteria.
II. Your rights

You have the following rights vis-a-vis our company regarding your personal data:

III. Collection of personal data when you visit our website

If you only use the website solely for information purposes, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is necessary for technical reasons in order to display our website content and to guarantee stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 (f) GDPR):
– IP address
– Date and time of your access
– Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
– Content of your enquiry (specific page)
– Access status/ HTTP status code
– Respective volume of data transferred
– The website making the request
– Browser
– Operating system and its user interface
– Language and version of browser software.

In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive assigned to the browser you are using and through which certain information flows to the party that sets the cookie (in this case, by us). Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the website more user-friendly and efficient.

a) This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and function of which are explained below:

b) Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. They store a so-called session ID, which can be used to assign various requests from your browser to the shared session. This enables your computer to be recognised when you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close your browser.
c) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period of time, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser.
d) You can configure your browser settings as needed and, for example, refuse to accept third-party cookies or all cookies. You should be aware, however, that by doing so you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of our website.
IV. Objection to or revocation against the processing of your data

You can revoke your consent to the processing of your data at any time. If you exercise this right, this will affect our ability to process your personal data after you have already given it to us.

Should your personal data be based on the balance of interests, you may lodge an objection to the processing. This, in particular, is the case should the processing not be required to fulfil a contract with you, which is illustrated by us in the subsequent description of the functions in each case. When lodging such an objection, please state the reasons why the processing of your personal data should not be implemented according to our usual methods. Should your objection be justified, we will examine the facts and either discontinue or adjust the data processing or invoke compelling legitimate grounds as to why we are continuing the processing.

V. Third-party hosting services
Data are also processed by a third-party provider that we have engaged to render hosting and website presentation services on our behalf. In this way, our legitimate interests in proper display of our website are protected, within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) point f GDPR. This provider processes on its servers all data that are collected in the manner specified below when you visit our website or fill in forms made available for this purpose on our website. Data are processed on other servers only in the scope described herein.
This service provider is based in an EU or EEA member state.
VI. Postal advertising and your right to opt out
Unless you have opted-out, we reserve the right to use your first and last name and your postal address for our advertising purposes, such as sending interesting offers and information about our products by post, for example. This serves the protection of our legitimate interests in promoting and advertising our products to customers in accordance with Art. 6 (1) 1 lit. f GDPR, which are overriding in the process of balancing of interests.
You can opt out of the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option specified below.
VII. Online job applications/ Publication of job advertisements
Any applicant data and/or application data you send us will be collected and processed electronically by us for handling the application process. Legal basis for this processing is Art. 26 para. 1 p. 1 BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 para. 1 GDPR.
If you are hired as a result of the application process, we will store the data you provide during the application process in your personnel file for the purpose of the usual organisational and administrative process. Legal basis for this processing is also Art. 26 para. 1 p. 1 BDSG in conjunction with Art. 88 para. 1 GDPR.
If your application is rejected, we will automatically delete the data transmitted to us two months after notification of the rejection. However, the deletion will not take place if the data requires a longer storage period of up to four months or until the conclusion of legal proceedings due to legal provisions, e.g. due to the burden of proof in accordance with the AGG [General Equal Treatment Act]. The legal basis in this case is Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR and Art. 24 para. 1 (2) BDSG. Our legitimate interest lies in legal defence or enforcement.
If you expressly provide consent to a longer storage of your data, e.g. for your inclusion in an applicant or prospect database, the data will be further processed on the basis of your consent. The legal basis is then Art. 6 para. 1 (a) GDPR. However, you can revoke your consent at any time by stating this to us with effect for the future.
