LUCIFER Solenoid Valves

Modular design

The Parker Lucifer product range includes a wide range of solenoid valves in 1/" to 3" connection sizes with kv values as high as 1385 l/min. Depending on the model, a valve is designed for an operating pressure of up to 100 bar.

One of the system's strengths is its modularity and flexibility. A Parker Lucifer solenoid valve consists of three elements: the valve, the housing and the coil. A different combination of the three elements may be more suitable, depending on the specific requirements. Should you have any questions regarding the selection of the right solenoid valve for your applications, please do not hesitate to contact our consultants at any time.

Valves

An important criterion when selecting the right valve is the number of connections. 2-way, 3-way and 5-way valves are available.

Equally important is the field of application within pneumatics or fluid technology. The valves available include valves for dry or lubricated air, neutral gases and liquids, hot water and steam valves, oil burner valves or valves for dispensing beverages. 3-way and 5-way pneumatic distributors to control actuators, electro-pneumatic pressure regulators and EExpress bus-controlled valve islands are also available.

Another criterion is the kind of actuation. There is a distinction between direct-operated, pilot-operated and force controlled.

The materials available for the Parker Lucifer valve body are brass, 303 and 316L stainless steel, anodised aluminium, zinc alloy and plastic. Pipe or flange connection, base plate, NAMUR, banjo, CETOP and ISO are provided as mounting solutions.

Other selection criteria include connection size, nominal diameter, flow factor, pressure range and the maximum permissible temperature of the medium. FKM, NBR, EPDM, Rubin, PUR and PCTFE are available as seals.

Parker Lucifer supplies more than 750 different types of valves that cover all these criteria.

Coils

A coil consists of the winding and its plastic covering. They are distinguished, among other things, by their shape and dimensions, and are available in numerous different voltages.

Coils are available with DIN plug connection, with cable strands, with screw terminal and with ISO DIN plug.

Special explosion-proof solenoid coils are also available. Depending on the protection class, the solenoid coils are differentiated with the designations 'nc AC', 'db', 'mb', 'db mb', 'eb' or 'ia', which indicate the corresponding directives and standards. All explosion-proof solenoid coils can be mounted on any Parker ATEX solenoid valve that corresponds to the specified coil group.

Housing

The last criterion is the selection of the coil housing. A housing is defined here as a combination of different fixing elements. The selection depends on the coil size, the desired protection class and the options for electrical connection. Lucifer offers standard coil housings with screw terminals, housings for bistable coils, water-proof and dust-proof housings and water-proof housings for high temperature coils. The necessary accessories for professional assembly, such as coil assembly kits, plug-in connectors and cable fittings, are also available.
