Piston Accumulators

Hydro-pneumatic piston accumulators are similar to bladder accumulators but not suitable for contaminated or low-viscosity fluids when installed horizontally. Contrary to bladder and membrane accumulators, piston accumulators use a stiff separation element between gas inlet and hydraulic fluid. This piston is moving freely inside the housing and gets pushed to the hydraulic connection by the gas' pretension.
