Lubrication Spare Parts, Valves and Accessories

Central lubrication systems supply individual lubricating points or dozens of lubricating point groups at the same time with accurately dosed lubricant quantities. It is hard to find any two lubrication systems that are the same. Most lubrication systems can therefore be constructed modularly from different components and can be expanded if necessary.

We are happy to advise you and supply valves, components and spare parts (see list below) for your application and plants for lubrication technology applications and central lubrication plants:

  • Adapter plates
  • Connection pieces
  • Fastening plates, mounting base, fastening clips and fastening screws
  • Blind ways for coupling connector
  • Drill template for piston pumps and progressive distributor
  • Spacer
  • Pressure limit valves
  • Filler necks
  • Screw-in connections
  • Conical grease nipples
  • Marking clip
  • Buckling protection spiral
  • Elbow joints
  • Coupling sleeve for refill connection and return flow connection
  • Coupling connector
  • Reducing coupling with cutting ring fitting
  • Stranded wire
  • Hose support
  • Connector for steel and plastic pipe

Lubrication pumps and pump assemblies

Lubrication pumps supply the lubricant from a storage container via a pipeline system to the distributors or directly to the lubricating points. The feed pressure has to be big enough to compensate the pressure loss in the pipelines and on the interconnected components such as filters, valves and distributors.

Different piston pumps, gear pumps and annular gear pumps, vane pumps and oil circulation pump are available which can be operated pneumatically, hydraulically or electrically depending on type.

Lubricant distributor and dosage units

Distributors supply a preset lubricant quantity to the lubrication points or allocate a defined quantity to the lubricating points over a specified duration. The most frequent distribution types are single, two-pipe and progressive distributors, flow limiters and quantity regulators, mixing valves and throttle distributors.

Quantity regulators measure the oil flow to the individual lubrication points and can if necessary lock individual lines if a preset quantity is exceeded. Quantity regulators are used mainly in oil circulation lubrication systems and in heavy machinery.

Throttle valve function as hydraulic resistors. The dosage is influenced by factors such as pump pressure, oil viscosity, line diameter and counter-pressure behind the throttle valve. They are used in consumption and circulation lubrication systems. The aim is to provide perfect lubrication independent from line pressure, temperature fluctuation or other parameters.

Measure out dosage units and distribute the lubricant to the individual lubricating points. Models with integrated control unit allow automated application of grease or oil in industrial assembly lines and conveyor belts.

Monitoring devices

Monitoring devices check the fill level of the lubrication tanks, the pressure in the line systems, the degree of contamination of the filter elements as well as temperature and humidity of lubricants. For this purpose, a series of different components and sensors as well as fill level switches, pressure switches, flow monitors, differential pressure switches or temperature measuring devices are used.

The measuring signals are analysed by electronic control and monitoring devices and the results are issued to the machine control or the operator. This ensures optimum lubrication at all times and allows discovery and removal of issues such as leakages early on. Monitoring devices are an integral part of the automated lubrication technology and allow central monitoring of the entire system.

Filter

Contamination in the lubricants reduce lubrication performance and accelerate the ageing of the lubricant. Sensitive components may be damaged or destroyed directly in extreme cases. Since it is practically impossible to completely prevent contamination, lubrication technology uses a series of different filters. Suction filters, pressure filters and return flow filters are used in central lubrication systems in addition to standard filters as per DIN 24550.

Filter should be easily accessible to ensure that they can be checked at any time and that the filter element can be replaced if necessary.

Lubrication accessories, valves and pipelines

The necessary accessories for lubrication technology such as brushes, nozzles or spray heads for dosing elements, pipelines or connectors are naturally also available.

Lubricant collectors collect the used lubricant automatically and therefore reduce the risk of accidents due to dripping lubricants and simplify the maintenance by simply and quickly replacing the collection tank.

SKF provides a series of different nozzles and spray heads for the dosing elements. Different forms, materials and sizes are on offer depending on the intended use in order to always enable optimum lubrication of the relevant components.
