Aerospace Industry

The aerospace industry places the highest demands on technology, safety, and reliability. Whether for military applications or for transporting people and cargo, all components must be lightweight, compact, and extremely robust. A modular design facilitates maintenance and replacement, ensuring that systems function reliably even in emergencies.

Lightweight, space-saving, and modular components help reduce weight and increase efficiency. Equally important is fast and reliable service that operators can depend on at all times. This ensures the continued operational readiness of aircraft, even under the most demanding conditions.

Aerospace

The hydraulic and pneumatic components used in aerospace are not only subjected to extreme stresses, but must also be extremely reliable. Failure of critical elements can lead to significant economic losses and, in the worst-case scenario, endanger human lives. At the same time, the components must be lightweight and compact, and quick and safe to replace during maintenance.

For safety reasons, modern wide-body aircraft use up to three independent hydraulic systems. Pressure is generated by the turbine engines, while an electric motor is used on the ground and in emergencies. A modern wide-body aircraft is virtually uncontrollable without a system of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. A multitude of hydraulic components, such as valves, pumps, and pistons, are used to control parts of the aircraft, such as the rudder and flaps, safely and precisely. In modern helicopters, the position of the rotors is controlled hydraulically in a similar way.

Aircraft landing gear utilizes particularly strong and durable hydraulic pistons. These not only extend and hold the landing gear in position, but also protect the aircraft and passengers from excessive vibrations during landing.

Another crucial aspect is the distribution of fuel from the storage tanks to the engines, as well as the distribution of lubricants. It is essential to empty the tanks evenly to avoid unnecessary stress and uneven weight distribution.

Climate control is also of paramount importance in passenger aircraft. Not only must the passenger cabin be heated, but a constant pressure must also be maintained. Even in emergencies, an adequate oxygen supply for passengers and crew must be ensured.

Hydraulic systems are also used for stairs and doors. They must keep the doors securely closed during flight, while also allowing for quick and easy opening in emergencies. Emergency slides utilize pneumatic systems such as compressed air cylinders and valves, which must also meet the highest quality standards.

Aircraft are not only used for passenger transport, but also for cargo transport and specialized tasks. For example, airplanes are used for the large-scale application of pesticides in agriculture, and helicopters are used as construction cranes or for transporting loads in difficult-to-access areas. Depending on the application, the aircraft are equipped with special equipment, which can, of course, also include pneumatic and hydraulic components.
