Camfil Farr Filters
Clean air processes
Different manufacturing processes, for example, in microelectronics and the pharmaceutical industry, require different degrees of air pollution control. Camfil filters therefore cover a wide range of filter products for different needs in terms of purity, airflow rate, flow characteristics, as well as costs and space.
Clean room ULPA filters have been specially developed for installation in clean rooms and laminar flow benches. They enable laminar, i.e., parallel airflows, which is essential for many highly sensitive manufacturing processes.
HEPA filters are used in hospitals and pharmaceutics, nuclear technology, electromechanics and many other areas that require a strictly controlled environment. These filter systems are specially designed to effectively filter out bacteria, viruses and various toxic substances from the air.
Special Camfil filter systems have been developed specifically for clean rooms and hospitals in order to reliably guarantee sanitised indoor air. Camfil takes care of the installation, customer service and maintenance of the entire system.
The company also manufactures filter systems for particularly high temperatures and offers a wide range of casings, claddings and other accessories suitable for clean rooms, hospitals and other industrial and technical applications.
Industrial filters
Camfil is also able to supply reliable and cost-effective filter casings and filter technology for large industrial plants, ships and offshore installations. The range extends from filters, fans and sound absorbers to complete cooling units and includes air supply filters, as well as highly effective exhaust gas filters and fine particle filters.
General indoor air
In addition to clean room applications and industrial products, the company provides filtration products for office buildings, shopping centres and airports. Camfil filters are used in air conditioners, ventilation units and other applications to provide clean, beneficial air, and a pleasant environment.
The filter product line
The range of Camfil filters and filter elements is extensive and far-reaching. Coarse dust filters are mainly used as pre-filters to clean the air of the coarsest dirt and to relieve the burden on subsequent filters. The filter media used includes glass fibres, polyester, or cotton and synthetic fibres.
Fine particle filters are usually installed after coarse dust filters and are used to filter inlet air or recirculating air for air conditioning and ventilation systems or as further pre-filters for clean rooms. Fine particle filters, as well as coarse dust filters, are available as bag filters, metal filters and pre-filters in various sizes and dimensions.
High-efficiency particulate air filters have been specially developed to filter out viruses, pollen, smoke particles, bacteria and various toxic dusts and aerosols from the air. They are used principally in the medical sector and in clean rooms. Camfil is constantly developing new materials and filter solutions to further optimise the cleaning process.
Molecular filters are able to safely and efficiently remove even gaseous pollutants. These special filters are used, for example, in clean room applications in microelectronics, where contamination of even a few ppb (parts per billion) of certain gases can lead to a defective product.
In addition to the actual product, the company provides a comprehensive range of services to ensure that the user benefits from the filter systems to the greatest possible extent.
